the cry of seagulls

Just a nice haiku fresh from the pencil

  1. How pleasant to be able to hear seagulls from your garden…my garden is thousands of miles from any sea (but i can hear robins and blackbirds)…and also smell sweet perfume of roses 🙂

  2. The only time I hear seagulls is if they get lost after a major storm – usually in hurricane season – even though we’re hundreds of miles from the ocean. Love hearing the gulls’ cry though — a gorgeous haiku.

  3. I like the connection between sound and scent here – as if something is common between the perfume of roses and the cry of seagulls. Perhaps a hint of nostalgia? Lovely haiku.
